Could you imagine being told that you cannot drive because of your current medical condition?
I imagine that no one can because without your own transportation what would you do? sometimes able-bodied people do not take these things into consideration.
Imagine This: After a long 8 Hour shift of working it takes you nearly three hours to get home not by choice, but by force and you have drivers who are inconsiderate and does not really care much because they use your disability to their advantage doing things like shoving your things around, stepping and rolling over your feet and lets not forget the fact that these people who pick you up are disrespectful and always raising their voice when they feel like you have taken to long to walk outside or even worse they can not find your apartment or home so in this case, they leave you.
How often as humans do we like to have to depend on others? Probably never right.
But I have learned to cope with this :
- When I get frustrated I listen to music.
- Try not to think about it
NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE COULD BE A HARD PILL TO SWALLOW, BUT DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM GETTING OUT AND ENJOYING LIFE.
