Double Leg Chronicles

First let me explain what I mean by “Double Leg Chronicles” I say Double Legs because I have my own set of legs plus my leg braces.

When I wear my leg braces Which is 98% of the time we have a Love and Hate relationship because they do what their supposed to, but they also can be pretty annoying.

Here is a list of things that my leg braces do:

  1. They keep my feet from turning in.
  2. Help me with my balance.
  3. Help me walk for longer periods of time.
  4. Help me walk Straighter.
  5. Forces me to pick up my feet.

Here is a list of things I dislike about my braces:

  1. I have to wear long socks.
  2. I have to get my shoes a size bigger.
  3. They make my legs sweat.
  4. The material from my leg braces often times burn my legs.

5.Sometimes uncomfortable

Other than the reasons I dislike my leg braces they help me a lot in my daily life because without them I probably wouldn’t be able to balance myself as good as I do now meaning that I would be falling all over the place and I may not be able to walk as long. If you are considering wearing leg braces or you wear them now I would say the good outweighs the bad and the leg braces that you receive will be made special just for you.

  1. This post really touched me. I am a cancer survivor and know that it can be difficult to talk about your own body and what it can and cannot do. There is a beautiful bravery and freedom in doing so, though, I think. Whenever ai have written about my issues, I have felt empowered by the thought that I may help someone with my truth. I hope you feel the same way. This will help someone. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

    1. Congratulations πŸŽ‰ Fuck cancer excuse my language, but doing this makes me feel free and it feels good to know that my blog alone touches so many people even if they don’t admit to it. I speak for those who might be scared of sharing. Thank you so much 😊

  2. Thank you for sharing your post, very informative and inspiring. My son is special needs and may or may not develop seizures/cerebral palsy (it’s up in the air) because of his genetic condition.
